History: Founded by the Romans 15 BC., oldest city in Bavaria and second oldest German town. A Renaissance-city you must see.

Famous sights: The Fuggerei (oldest social settlement in the world), the Augsburg puppet theatre with adjacent museum, Brecht und Mozart museum, Renaissance-city hall and Maximilianstraße, three magnificent fountains from the Renaissance era.
